Ever since my affinity towards MAC products grew, I somehow wanted to spot my first/best MAC lipstick in town. I had been hunting for a while (actually a year: P) for picking up the right shade that suited my lip color. And then ‘MAC Viva Glam VI’ landed like a Goddess which was the ‘one’ that I had been looking for; Never did I realize I would land up in a lipstick that possesses the same shade of my lip color and what it does extra, is the perfect Matte Finish which completes my everyday look.
For certain lip tones’ falling in the darker pigmentation, no matter which lipstick is being used, the lip color still dominates the lipstick. My lips fall in one such category and no matter what color I use, in a couple of minutes my lip color just dominates the lipstick. My hunt didn’t stop since 2 years and finally I had to settle only with lip balms as I didn’t find any lipstick which is capable of stamping its existence. But then, MAC did it! It just tricked my lip tone portraying the same shade with a vibrancy of Matte Finish.

A little bit of happiness prevails here for a small contribution from my end towards a social cause J MAC Viva Glam VI is a lustre finish lipstick that is extremely moisturizing. This sheer coverage by VIVA Glam VI is very easy to wear/light/so comfortable that you don’t feel like there is something sitting on your lips and this is one of the best aspects the VIVA Glam VI possesses.
The color is neutral and is not so pigmented. However you can build up the terracotta-plum shade with a couple of swipes. The chocolaty finish it produces on your lips is just striking. I wear it every day and I found it very pleasing unlike other jarring shades confined only to party wears.
The VIVA Glam packaging is very classy and is different from other MAC lipsticks. The outer tube is metallic red in color which sports the MAC logo and the lipstick is vanilla scented. This lipstick is specifically the best when you tend to sport your eyes with a notable eye make-up. This neutral-soft shade is capable of complementing your eye make-up in a very efficient manner.
About the staying power, for me it lasts about 3 hours and you can make it last long with the help of a lip-liner.
